On Saturday I went over to Jacque and Dallin's to take some pictures of Sophie. I hope that Sophie does not hold it against me that I recommended against her.

A couple of weeks ago, Jacque asked me what I thought about them getting a dog. I told her that although I am a dog lover, I did not think that it was a good idea for them to get a dog right now. Between, school, work and all of their responsibilities, I didn't think that they needed the stress of a dog--and no matter how you look at it, dogs take time, money and emotional energy!

The next day, Jacque asked Bryce what he thought, and he was more blunt. "You would be crazy to get a dog right now."

So, after getting advice from the two smartest people that she knows (Ha!) they decided to go ahead and get the dog.

I am not the least offended that they did not take our advice. I am glad that they asked, but they do need to make their own decisions. Sophie is a lab/hound mix and an adorable puppy. She is very smart and a lot of work--but they are doing a good job with her. She is even starting to sleep through the night!
