I am feeling sad today because I finally realized that a friend of many years does not feel the same fondness for me that I feel for her. I am very blessed with loyal and loving friends, so I guess I shouldn't be greedy. But we have had such a past, I am reluctant to give her up. But it is time-- before I become annoying. Cathy once told me that you can't be "everybuddy's buddy." Probably true.
On a more happy note, tonight is Jacque's wedding shower with our Falcon Park Ward--so we will see many old and dear friends. Clair is hosting--and she sure knows how to throw a party! We will have a great time, I know.

Well sorry to hear that, but there is a family that I know well, one member of which may or may not be your sister and her children and their spouses who truly think the world of you!
I know another family who feels the same way, and a sister-in-law who would be happy to take your friend's place!
I am having that same situation with a friend of mine from high school. It's hard to give them up but I realized after reading your post that you can only do so much and if they don't want it well ... they get what they want. It is sad! But I'm excited for Jacque. Weddings/engagements are such a fun time!
We too have some dear friends that both Lance and I cherish and they have basically fallen off the earth. We miss them and wish we knew why they distanced us. Strange that this happens.
Thanks for everyone's kind and encouraging words. I just think if you are friends, you should be friends forever--don't you agree? Ha! And tell my sister-in-law that she already has her own place in my heart, she doesn't have to take anyone else's.
