I came home to this mess (I mean, decorations! Ha!) after the Jazz game Saturday night. Caroline had to go back to Logan and she wanted to make sure I felt celebrated on my 50 year-old birthday. Marlene & Arlin had us over for dinner on Sunday, which was nice. I got snowshoes and a new tennis racquet for my birthday. I am excited to try both--except I don't want to try the snowshoes until next year. I play tennis on Tuesday and Thursday, and I am sure this racquet will make me better. Ha!
I feel that this birthday marks a new beginning for me. I have had the mindset that when I am feeling better I will begin to accomplish more. Well, I do feel better, but I don't want to wait until I feel great, because I don't know when that will happen--and many, many people live their lives not feeling great. So--now that I am 50, I am wise enough to move on--to make plans and goals.
