Bryce is not much of a reader, but likes me to tell him about the book that I am reading. With numerous trips to Grand Junction, however, he will sometimes get a book-on-tape to pass the time. I went with him last week and he had a book, but told me I probably wouldn't like it. I like almost every type of book, so I was surprised that he would think so. It turned out to be a RELIGIOUS book by Anne Rice. I thought that this was really funny for a couple of reasons.
1) Bryce would think that I wouldn't like a religious book--because maybe I am not very religious? 2) After the animated discussion over Thanksgiving on the social and moral value of the Twilight series, it made me laugh that he was listening to Anne Rice. Many years ago, I started to enjoy reading about fictional vampires by reading Anne Rice.
Anyway, I do love my reading. I even sometimes read religious books.

janell,
i have to tell you that i got a lengthy "talking to" from Lance that night--after the Twilight discussion. I was sufficiently rebuked for stirring the pot and sounding "too extreme". I was just trying to create an interesting discussion. My regrets and apologies.
What fun would it be if we couldn't discuss such issues? You do not have to apologize to me.
