We contemplated many options for Kate's UEA vacation. We finally decided to stay downtown Salt Lake City. Exciting, huh? It really was fun. We started by spending a few hours at the Humanitarian Center preparing school bags. Then we spent two nights at the Grand America. Really classy! We went shopping at Gateway, went to Body Worlds, also went to "Thriller" by Odyssey Dance. A fun, not-far-from home vacation.

October 6 was Mom's birthday, and as I tried to stay positive, I realized that I wanted to be with my sisters. So last weekend, I drove to Idaho and we went to the Twin Falls temple together (without Kerry, who broke her foot.) Then Kerry joined us for dinner where I forgot to take a picture. So Kerry is not represented in the picture, but she was really with us. I enjoyed being with my dear sisters and appreciate Cathy letting me stay for two nights. Sunday night Cathy had root beer floats at her house, and Tim came over--so I felt as if I had all my siblings close for a couple of days. Very comforting.
